Do not use splash pages: Splash pages are the first page you see when you arrive at a Web site. Do not let your visitors have a reason to click the “back” button! Give them the value of your site in advance without splash page.
Do not use banners: Even the least sophisticated net people have trained themselves to ignore banner ads so that you will be wasting valuable real estate site.
